A Chocolate Frenzy
February 10, Noon to 4:00pm.
Put your cabin fever aside and head to
Kennebunk, Maine’s Town Hall to celebrate their
annual Chocolate Extravaganza on Sunday Feb.
10th from Noon to 4:00 – FREE ADMISSION!
It’s guaranteed to be the most fun you’ll have
all winter because there’s a live band to
entertain everyone while businesses competes
with each other to GIVE AWAY THE BEST FREE
CHOCOLATE!
To make this day even crazier, they have fun
games loaded with door prizes with their own
version of the Chocolate Derby Horse races-
allowing chocoholics to win while betting on
their favorite chocolate mares! All of Maine’s
Beauty Queens (Miss Maine, Miss Teen Maine, USA
& International) will be on hand to help with
the festivities, sign autographs, and help dole
out the sweets! To add to the insanity, the
Sugar Plump Fairies always show up to give away
balloons, etc. all for a great cause – 2
charities that benefit from the sweet gathering
– A local Fuel assistance fund and The Mustang
Rescue Fund that helps provide haven for
mustangs from around the country. (They’ll be
available to pat outdoors!)
In the past, the organizers have dunked someone
in chocolate, made a gigantic chocolate sand
castle, covered a car in the dark sweetness, and
built an 8 foot chocolate heart. This time
they’re building an 8 foot chocolate covered
lobster! In addition, Lucy and Ethel will be
back to recreate their famous chocolate conveyor
belt scene for those that would like to have
their picture taken with the wacky duo!
Be sure to be at The Chocolate Extravaganza for
this more than sweet affair!
